The following peer-reviewed studies inform why freeze-drying is the most effective method for preserving breast milk's nutritional and immunological properties for long-term storage. These studies are independent research published in academic journals, cited here so you can read them in full.

Two things this research consistently shows: freeze-drying retains key components of breast milk that regular freezing degrades over time, and the longer breast milk is stored frozen, the more its nutritional profile declines. Both findings are why we built our process the way we did.
